Would veneers or braces be best for a gap in my teeth?

Q.
Hi,
I am in a bit of a dilemma at the moment as I have a gap between two of my teeth on the top which is very noticeable. My normal dentist told me to go to a private clinic so that they can tell me the best options.I live in a small village in Wales though so I don’t really know of anywhere so thought I would do some internet research.
I would class my problem as minor but I am not sure whether to go for veneers to cover the gaps as it’s quick or to go through the process of braces which could take time. What is your advice on this? Thanks.
A.
Hi
It depends on the size of the gap and your front teeth. If it is only small and the teeth could be made bigger without looking out of place then you could consider bonding or veneers. If they would look too big then I suggest braces.
You could email some photos over to my treatment coordinator – coordinator@harleystreetdentalstudio.com with your contact details and happy to offer some further advice.
